Concert to start Christmas celebrations

It will be held on Saturday, December 6 at St Mary's Church, Edward Road, Dorchester from 7.30pm. Concertgoers will be able to enjoy Durufle's Requiem, carols and Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on Carols. The first half will feature Durufl's wonderful, melodic and ethereal Requiem. After an interval for mulled wine and mince pies, the choir will sing a selection of Christmas music " some lesser known carols and Vaughan Williams joyous Fantasia on Christmas Carols. The concert will be conducted by the choirs Director of Music, Duncan Emerson, with professional soloists Sophia Brumfitt (Mezzo-Soprano), Samuel Mitchell (Baritone), John Carnelley (Organ), Sally Flann (cello).
