A forty- five year resident of Alton, IL Betty graduated Marquette High School in1951. She was married to Sam Ulett , the father of her daughters Diana (Doug) McKay of Boulder City, NV and Kathi ( Jeff) Saeger of St. Louis and Harold Bishop and Harry Grayson. Betty is survived by her daughters, and three grandchildren , Kara ( Waylon Rowley) McKay of Salt Lake City, Jared ( Ana) Saeger, of St. Louis, Joel ( Monique) Saeger of Columbia, MO. Mason McKay, her oldest grandson who assisted her in these last years, is sadly still listed on Missing in America but presumed to have preceded her in death. Villagers fight for future of our democracy and their grandchildren

Teacher’s aide admits kissing girl student during rides home from school

Mead, 26, who has been fired from her position at the school, remains free on $50,000 bond following her Nov. 14 arrest after the inappropriate relationship was exposed. Villager’s son surrenders passport as he awaits trial in woman’s death

Brian William Decot, 47, is living with his mother at her home in the Village of Charlotte as a condition of his $100,000 bond. Decot was released from jail on Oct. 23. He is facing a charge of death caused by the unlawful distribution of cocaine. He recently surrendered his passport as he remains free on bond. Decot has also been ordered to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings and undergo weekly drug screenings. It was on Halloween 2024 that 50-year-old Tracy Jean Miller was found "deceased and lying nude" at the home of Decot's mother at 750 Pasture St. There were needle marks in Miller's arm "consistent with injection marks used to inject illegal narcotics," the arrest affidavit said.
