While some private insurance companies offer health plans for the elderly, these plans often come with high premiums, strict terms, and mandatory medical examinations for those joining after age 70. The Senior Citizens Health Insurance component of the KASP provides individuals aged 60 and above with an additional coverage of Rs 30,000.
