Discussion

Dry weather conditions continue to prevail throughout the upcoming week. Highs remain in the middle to upper 70's each day, with a few spots touching 80 degrees any given day. Overnight lows stay just below normal for this time of year, with middle to upper 40's over the interior and lower 50's nearer the coast. A gradual warming trend in overnight lows may occur late in the week, generally increasing by a few degrees areawide.
Our area remains on the western periphery of upper troughing today, with upper ridging attempting to build in to the area tonight into Monday. This will be short-lived as another upper trough progresses across the central CONUS with southwesterly flow aloft becoming established Tuesday into Wednesday. After this, ridging will once again attempt to build in as we head into the late week into weekend timeframe. Despite the more variable upper pattern, we remain mostly dry throughout the entire forecast period. A small chance for rain may return to our far western counties in southeast Mississippi as we head into next weekend. A High risk of rip currents will continue through Monday, tapering to a Moderate risk Tuesday before potentially increasing back to a High risk Wednesday. MM/25
