Forecasters' discussion
From the National Weather Service office in PBZ, issued 2 hrs ago
What Has Changed
Frost Advisory in effect from 2am to 9am Thursday
Key Messages
1) Frost Advisory in effect Thursday morning for portions of the region. Otherwise, the stretch for dry weather continues.
Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1... Over the next 24 hours, strengthening northerly flow will promote lower dew points early Thursday morning. Combined with radiational cooling and sufficient dry air, temperatures are expected to fall into the low to mid-30s, increasing the potential for frost. A Frost Advisory has been issued for counties that have not yet experienced a hard freeze.
Aside from the potential for frost headlines Friday and Saturday nights and patchy fog early in the morning, quiet weather is expected to persist under high pressure through at least midweek.
Aviation
A high-confidence VFR forecast continues through the week. Light wind becoming calm overnight. Return to light northerly wind tomorrow. The only localized impact will be morning river valley fog with HLG/FKL being the most likely to have impacts between 11Z and 13Z.
Outlook... Outside of any morning river valley fog, VFR is highly likely through Sunday under high pressure.
