Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1...Dry weather through this weekend.
KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION... Noreaster currently spinning about 250 miles south of Cape Cod as of 05z. At the same time a ridge of high pressure thru Downeast Maine courtesy of 1027mb sfc high over the Maritimes will be keeping the area dry from coastal storm. 00z raob from KCAR indicates PW values only at 0.29 inches, approximately 10% of normal. Cold front dropping in from the north is moisture starved and will likely only see clouds crossing the area as it moves thru this afternoon.
Pressure gradient tightens in between noreaster and building Canadian high with north winds gusting upwards of 25-30 mph at times this afternoon, higher over Downeast and the higher terrain.
High pressure building in Friday night with clear skies and winds decoupling will lead to temps dipping into the 20s over the entire area with perhaps some teens over the deeper valleys in the north.
Dry weather is expected through the weekend with an approaching cold front next Monday, though it looks moisture-starved as well.
Aviation

Tonight-Friday...VFR. N winds 10-20kts, gusting to 25-30kts. LLWS at FL020 all terminals from 01035-45kts tonight.
Friday night-Sunday night...VFR. Light NW winds through Saturday, becoming WSW 5 kts.
Monday...Mainly VFR. W winds 5-10kts.
