Forecasters' discussion
From the National Weather Service office in PAH, issued 5 hrs ago
Key Messages
- Patchy daybreak fog is possible each morning.
- Nearly perfect weather with highs 75-80F and lows 45-50F.
Discussion
Issued at 1245 PM CDT Fri Oct 23 2026
A strong upper level ridge will effectively block all perturbatory flow impediments to our close to perfection 7-day weather forecast. It will keep us pleasantly dry with daily highs in the mid-upper 70s and lows in the mid-upper 40s; a few outlier 80-81F and 50-51F readings are possible.
Patchy daybreak fog cannot be completely ruled out any morning but it should be shallow/brief and burn off quickly if/where it occurs.
Enjoy the dry weather run while we can as it appears we transition to an above normal pcpn pattern in the 6-10/8-14 day outlooks.
Aviation
Issued at 1245 PM CDT Fri Oct 23 2026
High pressure dominates the forecast. There is a slim chance of patchy daybreak fog, and there may be FEW-SCT250 bases that appear late tonight-tmrw morning in an otherwise dry and light flow environ.
