Key Messages

Updated at 249 PM EDT Sun Oct 25 2026

- A prolonged period of hazardous marine conditions from gusty northeast winds are expected to continue.

- Mostly rain-free persistence forecast prevails the next several days in addition to a warming trend making for unseasonably warm temperatures.

- A more progressive weather pattern appears to unfold during the first week of November.

Short Term

(This Evening through Monday) Issued at 249 PM EDT Sun Oct 25 2026

A lingering tight pressure gradient across the region maintains breezy conditions tomorrow amidst otherwise fair weather. Strong high pressure anchored to our north, a persistent dry airmass, and upper ridge axis nosing in from the Northern Gulf coast states supports another warm afternoon. Monday's temperatures peak in the upper 70s to low 80s under a mix of sun & clouds. Elevated winds tonight should keep the boundary layer stirred up enough to preclude lows from tumbling too much. We are looking at widespread 50s (isolated low 60s near the coast and the SE FL Big Bend).

Long Term

(Monday night through next Saturday) Issued at 249 PM EDT Sun Oct 25 2026

Monday morning starts off a bit cooler with widespread lows in the low 50s from slackening winds and some reinforced dry air advected from the NE. A warming trend then ensues as the aforementioned ridge axis orients itself from the Central Gulf into the Carolinas. High temperatures are forecast to be mainly in the low 80s for the remainder of the long-term period while lows warm from the 50s on Wednesday to low 60s nearly areawide thereafter. These readings are well above normal for late October. Otherwise, little to no rain is expected this upcoming week outside of isolated locations near the Suwannee Valley. A weather pattern change appears more likely during the first week of November, which is a little beyond the current forecast period.

Aviation

(18Z TAFS) Issued at 249 PM EDT Sun Oct 25 2026

Low-level northeast flow will continue for the next 24 hours. Skies will generally remain clear. Satellite imagery does show some stratocumulus clouds spreading westward through southeast Georgia, so a few flat stratocumulus clouds at or above 030 cannot be ruled out later this afternoon and evening at TLH and VLD.
