Forecasters' discussion
From the National Weather Service office in RLX, issued 1 hr ago
What Has Changed
Beyond some trivial changes to temperatures and dewpoints for the next few days, the forecast remains on track.
Key Messages
1) Pleasant weather will continue into late next week, with riverine fog during the predawn hours each day.
Discussion
KEY MESSAGE 1...
Slightly positive geopotential heights will result in gradually warmer high temperatures heading into next week as the subtropical ridge shifts eastward over the CWA. Strong subsidence will persist aloft and maintain the dry airmass across the region. Riverine fog will develop once again tonight, but with lesser coverage as dry air intrusion nixes more-widespread fog development during the predawn hours each day. SIGWX NIL until further notice.
Aviation
VFR will prevail through early Sunday morning, with riverine fog forming by sunrise. Fog will dissipate by 25/14-15Z, with calm, southeasterly winds through the TAF period.
FORECAST CONFIDENCE: High.
ALTERNATE SCENARIOS: The coverage and extent of fog tonight may vary from the forecast.
